Obituary of James Angus Smith

SMITH, James Angus

It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family announces the passing of James (“Jim”) Angus Smith. Jim passed away peacefully on Friday, October 6th, 2023, after a brief  battle with cancer in his 82nd year.

Beloved husband of 55 years to the late Carolyne Smith. Cherished father of Deborah (Gary) McRoberts and to the late son, Michael Smith. Loving grandfather of Jamie (Val) Smith, Stephanie (Simon) Lourie, Meghan McRoberts and many great grandchildren. Predeceased by siblings Bud (Jean) Smith, Barb (Norm) Moore and Beverley Wells He will be sadly missed by his brother in-law Robert Wells, nieces, nephews, family and friends. 

A service will be held at St. George’s Presbyterian Church, Saturday October 14, 2023 at 11:00 am, 1475 Dundas Street, London, followed by a reception.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the London Regional Cancer Program and Heart and Stroke Foundation. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Simple Choice Cremation.
