Obituary of Lena Portelance

After a brave fight against cancer Lena Portelance passed away late September 19th,2023, at Met hospital with her husband of 24 years Rick Portelance By her side. 

Loving mother to daughter Tracy Vazzoler and spouse Gary Vazzoler, and her two sons Chad Tarasick and David Taras. Father in-law Ray Portelance, Mother in-law Ghislaine Portelance. Brother Dan, June Portelance. Nieces Mia, Crystal Cousin Keith Portelance. 

Lena was the 4th oldest of 11 brothers and sisters. Grandmother to many grandchildren.Missed by countless cousins, nieces, and nephews. Greeted on the other side by sister Yvonne Banfill and Mother Denise Dupon. Lena enjoyed many small collectins of knick knacks and she especially enjoyed collecting Coca Cola, turtles and nutcrackers and humming birds. Known as Grandma Marshmallow to her grandkids for her love of sweet treats. Will be missed by her two cats that she loved dearly.

Lena worked at CEL for 35 years and was a cherished member to her work community. The family would like to thank everyone that reached out during her brave battle. Loved by many and missed by all. Heaven gains another Angel.
