Obituary of Randy Lewis Johnson

With saddened hearts, we share the peaceful passing of Randy Lewis Johnson, at home, on September 16, 2023, at the age of 73 surrounded by loved ones. 

Randy is survived by his beloved wife Rosemary (nee Drobitch) of 51 wonderful years. Loving father of Jodi MacPherson (Matt), Bryan (Kara), and Andrew. Proud and adoring Papa of Ryan, Connor, Evan, Marli, Ruben, and Elani. Randy was the eldest son of the late Helen (nee Malott) and Len Johnson. Cherished brother of Lynda Lantz (late Sid), Clark (Corinne), Ann Hawrish (Richard), and Debbie Bialkowski (Greg Harrison). Special uncle to many nieces and nephews. Valued by many other close relatives, friends, and neighbours.

Randy was one of a kind, a quiet and generous person who would do anything for anyone. He worked at Chrysler, as a supervisor, for more than 35 years. In his retirement, he enjoyed cruising and participating in various car shows with his Stealth and modified PT Cruiser, winning many awards including Best Engine and Cleanest Exhaust. That was Randy, a "Mr. Fix It" who was meticulous in all he did, including working on his impeccably landscaped yard, and he did it all to music. He loved listening to his endless collection of playlists which he created from so many different genres and eras. But Randy's greatest joy was the family he and Rosie created with their children and grandchildren. Each child and grandchild brought him unique joy.  

In his final days, Randy's hope was to stay home as long as possible. Our profound thanks to all who helped fulfill his wish. We will miss this legend of a man!

As per Randy's request, cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
