"The loss is immeasurable but so is the love left behind." It is with sadness and grieving hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Rodney Bourque, at the age of 55 with his family by his side, after a yearlong battle with cancer.
With abundant love and cherished memories, we honour Rodney, who was an honest, kind, and gentle soul. He was loving and compassionate, always humble, and full of life.
Welcoming him into eternal life are many grandparents, including his Mémé (2005) Victorine LeBlance, as well as many aunts and uncles.
Beloved husband of 27 years, to Tina (nee: St. Louis). Loving, dedicated and caring father to Jeffrey and Tabitha. Rodney loved his family with his entire heart, and he will, without a doubt, walk beside them all, every day of their lives.
Predeceased by his Father (2019), Eugene Bourque (Marcie), Rodney will be missed by his Mother, Elaine Derochie (Ronald), and his many siblings (Bourque); Danny (Sharon), Jeff (Sarah), Jodie, Matthew, Jason, (Derochie); Steve (Michelle), Corey (Mike), Ronald "Jason" (deceased 2005) (Kim), Lana (Joe), Lori (Brian).
Predeceased by his beautiful and loving Mother-in-Law (2004), Maria St. Louis, Rodney will be missed by his Father-in-Law, Ken St. Louis (Madeline), and Sister-in-Law, Tracy Cleroux (Danny).
Survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins who love him very much. He will always hold a special place in all their hearts.
Rodney was very proud to be a chef at Caesars Windsor Casino for 29 years. This is where he spent his career sharing his culinary skills and putting smiles on the faces of so many co-workers and friends. He was creative, artistic, and not to mention, The Rolling Stones #1 fan.
We would like to express our dearest, thank you, to the nurses, doctors, and volunteers that took care of him everyday at Hospice.
We will miss everything about Rodney, and we are all better people to have had him in our lives.
The family will hold an Open House to Celebrate Rodney's life, on Sunday Sept 24th 2023, between the hours of 1pm-4pm. Located at "Other Place Catering" on Walker RD
