Obituary of Edward Abraham

ABRAHAM, Edward

March 2, 1936 – September 14, 2023

It is with much sadness we announce the passing of Edward Abraham, 87 years on Thursday, September 14, 2023.  He died peacefully with his family by his side.   Beloved husband and best friend of Margaret Abraham (nee Dean) for 67 years.  Much loved father of Catherine and Gordon Stevens, Christopher and Karen Abraham and Dean and Dawn Abraham.  Proud and loving grandfather to Aubrey (Steve), Christopher (Nicole), Shawn (Samantha), Jessica (Jordan) and Dillon (Adrianna).  Loving great-grandfather to nine great-grandchildren.  Dear brother to June MacDonald and late husband Robert.  Predeceased by his sister Mabel Bondy (Martin).  Will be sadly missed by many brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, family and friends.  Eddie retired from Chrysler Canada.  He was an avid boater and always enjoyed his winters in Florida.  He made friends wherever he went and was happiest when he was surrounded by family and friends.  A special thank you to the staff at Southwood Lakes Extendicare and Lifetimes on Riverside Drive for their compassion and support.   The care given to Eddie was truly outstanding.  Cremation has taken place.  Memorial Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Avenue (519-253-7236) on Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
