Obituary of Eric William Gammon

It is with extremely heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of Eric "Rick" Gammon on August 17, 2023, at the age of 70.

Predeceased by his mother, Arlenne, Rick was a beloved husband, father, uncle, friend and Papa. He made an impact on the lives of so many through his kindness, his wealth of knowledge, and his acts of service.

Eric was blessed with a large, loud, and loving family that will deeply miss his humour and sarcasm. Married to his "Honey" and the love of his life, Debbie, for 40 years, they had a full house raising four girls. A proud dad to Amanda (Jason), Breanna (David), Christina (Jon), and Karly (Gabriel) and even prouder Papa to seven grandchildren - Lillian, Mason and Christopher (Amanda), Braeden and Emelia (Breanna) and Travis and Addelyn (Christina). Rick fulfilled his dream of having a family. He will be missed by so many including his many nieces and nephews.

A man of great integrity, he was a truly valuable contributor to our community. He leaves behind a remarkable legacy in partnership with Dual Electric and Refrigeration and the many friendships he formed over the years.

While he will be greatly missed, his family takes solace in hoping he will finally take the time to enjoy hunting, fishing and walking his dogs, especially his Tessa girl.

The family invites friends and family to join us in sharing a meal and raising a toast to such a remarkable man at a Celebration of Life and Memorial Service at the Ciociaro Club on Friday, October 20, 2023, from 5-8pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be directed to the Eric Gammon Memorial Fund established at the Windsor Regional Hospital. Funds raised will be directed to providing comfort to families of loved ones in the ICU in appreciation of the incredible compassion and care provided to Rick and his family.
