Our mother told us the story of my oldest brother: He was helping to put the bails of straw into the top of the barn. Instead of taking the correct way down he jumps from the door at the top of the barn to the ground and broke his leg. He was in a clay cast that didn't slow him down none. He was fishing at the creek on the 5 th Concession country home and my mom then noticed the weather looked like a tornado was coming and where was Dolphis?! She knew he went fishing but didn't come back yet. Worried she went to the road looking for him. Then she could see him hobbling on one foot with a pail of fish in one hand fishing rod and tackle box in the other and crutches under his shoulder just moving as fast as he could amongst the hard winds and the rain. My mother scolded him and asked why he waited so long to come back cuz a tornado was traveling over head. She got him into the house safely. All he could answer was he was busy fishing and didn't notice until the high winds came up, lol, scared my poor mother to death. Dolphis wasn't only my brother we all looked up too and respected he was also my God father. He strode for me at my Baptism along with my oldest sister Theresa. I know you are with God in heaven and with our mom and dad; cancer free, no broken leg, no worries, and able to fish in an endless stream of fishes. We all love you very much and are proud of all your accomplishments.
