Obituary of David Ernest Walker

Walker, David Ernest

April 24th, 1958 – July 18th, 2023

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of David, Ernest Walker aka D –Dawg or Bubba announces his passing on July 18th, 2023 at 65 years of age.

Predeceased by his parents Ernest Walker (1969) and Jessie Walker (1998).

Loving brother to Cheryl Newton, Diana Carey (Frank) and James Walker (Lori).

D-Dawg will be missed by his niece Keri Lyn, and nephews Alex, Jordan, Jimmy, Ryan, Jeffrey and Austin. As well he will be missed by his great nieces and nephews.

David spent many years driving truck for local trucking companies, where Bubba made many lifelong friends to share his great sense of humour and stories with. The last few years of his life he enjoyed and was very proud of spending his final days on the road working for John at Monts On Time Express.

David could also be counted on spending as much time as possible with his family, entertaining all with his great sense of humour and where he could always make them laugh until they cried. Otherwise, his siblings counted on him to remember everything for them with his great memory of their past.

At David’s request, cremation and a private family service will take place Thursday July 20th, then a Celebration of Life will take place and be shared with family and friends on Saturday July 29th at the Moose Lodge at 777 Tecumseh Rd West at 4pm.

If you so desire donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association of Windsor. The family also wishes to thank Hotel Dieu Palliative Department for their care and support during his final days.
