Obituary of Carolyn Marie LeBlanc
Carolyn Marie Leblanc (nee Dwyer)
April 2, 1943 – July 5, 2023
It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Carrie on July 5, 2023 at the age of 80 years. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Nicole (Nikki) LeBlanc, sister Gail (Miami), brother Michael Dwyer (LaSalle), many nieces and nephews, and friends and neighbours. Predeceased by her ex-husband Albert (2013) and sister Doreen Houle (2018).
Carrie spent her working years at Tamco Ltd and Haller Mechanical. She was a Hospice volunteer for over 20 years and spent her retirement years tending to her gardens, enjoying movies and dinners with friends, watching sports, visiting her sister in Miami and walking at the mall (and enjoying a Cinnabon) with her brother. She loved time spent with her daughter whether it was watching the Detroit Lions, listening to music, weekly Sunday dinners or just being together.
She was a special person with an infectious laugh that left her imprint on everyone she met.
A note from Nikki: A special thank you to the staff at Windsor Regional - Ouellette Campus for taking such tremendous care of my mother. To the nurses and doctors in the ER and Cardiac Care Unit - you were so kind and empathetic, I appreciate that more than you know. To my mom's friends and neighbours (past and present), thank you for being there for her over the years. To my family, thank you for showing her love and receiving all the love she had to give with her great big heart.
Donations to the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County in her memory would be appreciated.
Cremation has taken place and Carrie will be laid to rest with her parents. Interment will be at Assumption Cemetery (Windsor ON) on Friday July 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. A Celebration of Life will be held on the same day - Friday, July 28, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 594 (5030 Howard Avenue, Oldcastle, ON). There is no formal program - Carrie wanted a party so a party it is; a bar and finger foods will be available.
