Obituary of Florence Lambe

All Great thing must come to an end and unfortunately it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Queen, Florence Lambe on July 2, 2023 at the exceptional age of 101. Born in Toronto, to the late Christina and Frank Dolson. She was big sister to Dora, Ella, Rita, Sonny, Buddy, Frank and Ron Dolson. Florence remained in Toronto for many years before moving to Bracebridge, Bowmanville, Scarborough and Leamington. Finally making Essex her home where she stayed comfortably until the end, surrounded by her loved ones and her furry companions. After losing her husband of 42 years, Earl George Lambe (1983) she continued on to live her best life. She enjoyed dancing, shopping, cheering on her favorite hockey and baseball teams, a cup of Tetley tea and expressing her opinions. Her love of whiskey, wine, chocolate and licking the cake icing was well known. She loved to travel, visiting Gremany, Finland, Dominican Republic, Hawaii and because she was a kid at heart she was always up for a trip to Disneyworld. Her favorite place though was always on the porch of her cottage in Bracebridge surrounded by her family. She leaves behind her best friend and adoring daughter Brenda Lambe, her loving sons Frank Lambe (Anne), Dwight Lambe (Vicki), and Roy Lambe (Hazel 2020) and her daughter Florence Richards (2015) (Leo). Her Grandchildren Patty Richards, Katherine Richards (Greg McPhail), Toni Lambe, Kari Lambe (Dorothy Richardson), Don Lambe (Nicole Hajik), Michael Lambe (Amber), Mark Lambe (2022) (Nichole), Damon Lambe (Amanda), Jesse Lambe (Nina), and Hayden Lambe (Jessie). Her Great Grand Children David (Sarah) Tuffin and Steven Tuffin, Ryan, Kaylee and Jake Lambe, Avery, and Tyler Lambe, Noah Youkhanna, Addison, Lillian, Abbagale, Avery and Rowan Lambe, Vanessa and Chloe Lambe, and Little Lawson Lambe. She was lucky enough to meet the next generation with a Great Great Granddaughter and her current ball toss companion Winnie Tuffin and she was awaiting the arrival of Winnie's sibling.   The family would like to thank the many PSW's, nurses, Dr's and Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion of Florence through the years, allowing her to remain in her home with dignity till the end. In  lieu of flowers donations to your local Animal shelter or  Windsor Hospice would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE (Essex) 519-254-2585.  Online condolences and cherished memories may be shared with the family at www.simplechoicecremation.ca
