Obituary of Margaret Jean Conrad

Conrad, Margaret Jean (nee Harrison, Wohlers)

September 28, 1936 – June 24, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Margaret Jean Conrad (Dr. Margaret J. Harrison, Chiropractor) announces her passing on June 24, 2023 at the age of 86.

Margaret was pre-deceased by her parents, John and Helen Harrison, son Brian Wohlers (1980) and husband Douglas Patrick Conrad (2020).

With her first husband, John Wohlers, she was the beloved mother to David Wohlers (Lisa), Dean Wohlers and Bruce Wohlers (Connie). She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren BriAnne (Ian), Samantha (Joao), Amber, Brian (Valerie), MiRaye, Noah, Blake and her great grandchildren, Isla and Faye.

Dr Margaret J. Harrison was perhaps the first daughter of a Chiropractor to graduate from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractor College to follow in her father, John Harrison’s footsteps and with her mother Helen Harrison, as a registered Message Therapist, helped serve Windsor and surrounding area with non-medical health care needs for 42 years. The Harrison Clinic was active in Windsor for 60 years.

“Dr. Marg” will be sincerely missed by all her family, friends, and patients that she has so dearly cared for personally and professionally.

Margaret enjoyed traveling, shopping for souvenirs to give to her family upon return and singing hymns every Sunday as a member of Riverside United Church.

As per Margaret’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.simplechoicecremation.ca. A memorial service will take place at Riverside United Church on Saturday July 8 at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
