Obituary of Todd Allen Eyolfson
EYOLFSON, Todd Allen November 28, 1968 - May 28, 2023 With a heavy heart and profound sadness, we share the news of Todd Eyolfson's sudden passing May 28, 2023 (of Windsor). He is survived by his wife, Joy Bertram, son, Tyler Eyolfson, brother Daryl Eyolfson (Colleen) and their children Brett and Dustin (Natasha) and their son Eli, and his Mother Dolores Eyolfson (of Fort Frances) and predeceased by his father Ron Eyolfson. Todd was diagnosed with a significant 4th stage Glioblastoma brain tumor in January. He embarked on the journey of treatment and recovery cycles and was making optimistic progress when he had a related sudden acute event that took him much too soon yet quickly and peacefully with close family members at his side. Please join us in celebrating Todd's remarkable life. Todd made friends easily as he was a kind soul with an easy smile, authentic caring ways, and high-volume charisma. He trained and mentored many professional accountants and their firms on CaseWare software. "Todd was an exceptional member of the CaseWare family for over 26 years, holding various roles on the Commercial Team. Todd was known for his dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to Caseware. Todd was a valued employee, a beloved friend, and a source of inspiration for many of us. His infectious enthusiasm and positive energy made a lasting impact on our work environment. The impact Todd made on Caseware was showcased last week when several of his colleagues gathered and honored Todd with the presentation of the first-ever “Todd Eyolfson Mr. or Mrs. Caseware” award in a special ceremony. During the award presentation, friends and colleagues from across the business shared memories, funny stories and words of appreciation. Over his 26 years at Caseware, Todd consistently demonstrated a remarkable work ethic and contributed significantly to our collective success. His expertise, creativity, and willingness to go above and beyond will always be remembered." He will be greatly missed by all of u He was involved with the CGA chapters in Thunder Bay, Toronto and Windsor over the years, with Rotary Club of Windsor-Roseland, and enjoyed scuba diving as his other passion. Our families, friends and colleagues share alike the shock this news brings. Please support one another as you tribute Todd on his final journey. We will all miss him dearly. Joy will greatly miss her shared big love, best friend, travel and dive buddy, his infectious smiles, sense of adventure, witty humor, deep friendship, and incredible spirit. They had a beautiful life together filled to the brim with loving fun memories and no regrets. When thinking of him, have a listen to the songs by PINK - "Never gonna not dance again" - his theme song and her “Cover me in Sunshine”. As per Todd's wishes there will be no formal funeral in his home City of Windsor, but a small private celebration of life will take place later with his closest family and friends.
