Such a wonderful lady and a deeply caring educator. Virginia had a special gift for treating students empathetically and helping them attain both confidence and competence. She will be missed.

I met Virginia several years ago at the college when I first became a sessional instructor. She was very kind and compassionate, not to mention, funny. Years later I was a manager on Rehab, and it broke my heart to see Virginia after her stroke. However, she was still kind and compassionate, and I knew she was the same Virg. She coloured a picture for me, wrote her name, and wrote my name. It touched my heart. ❤️ I now work at the college and have that picture at my cubicle pinned up to see, as a beautiful reminder of Virg. My deepest sympathy to her family and friends. Tazdia Kemeny

Virg touched so many lives . Our family met her through our stepmom Betty , who was "Gram" to Dar, Sarah and Matt. Knowing her enriched our lives as well. Her love of family, her work and friends set an example to all of selfless love. I want to believe that she and Betty had a joyous reunion last week. Our deepest sympathy to all who loved her. I was a colleague of Virginia's at the College. She was such a nice and kind person. We didn't always see each other but when we met in the hallway or I passed her office she had the brightest smile. Thoughts with and for all.

I have many fond memories of Virginia from our RN days at the nursing home, teaching the medication course for RPN’s and as a friend. She was an excellent nurse who was always kind and compassionate to all. My condolences to Greg, Kristen and their families as well Darlene and her family.

My favorite memory was when I called Virg to tell her a student was very ill and passed out, that I needed her in the lab immediately, when she arrived to the lab the students yelled surprise, she worked hard with a few of them to help them be the best PSWs and to show their appreciation they threw her a small party....her expression and that smile I will never forget....amazing lady full of life and love for the PSW program. She truly has touched many students, teachers and friends and I have the utmost respect and love for you Virg and always will Cathy M
