Obituary of Georgina May Culbert

Passed away peacefully at the Hospice of Windsor on November 29, 2019 at the age of 78. Predeceased by her beloved husband Ken (2010). Loving mother of Leslie (Rick), Terri (Jim) and Todd (Kelly). Cherished Nanny of Gina (Brian), Justin, Nicole (Mark), James (Lacey), Brendan and Cody. Great Nanny of Ethan, Evan, Michael (Falisha), Kaylee, Samantha, Isla and Noah. Dear sister of Patricia (late Reg), late George, late Bert (late Marvin), Nancy (late Harvey), Sally (late Chuck), and JoAnne (late Bob). Georgina will also be missed be her dear friend Theresa and many nieces and nephews. Georgina started her career as a bus driver with Chatham Coach where she provided 15 years of service. She made a small career change to become a crossing guard with the City of Windsor and retired after 9 years at the age of 78. Everything in Georgina's life revolved around her love for children and the joy they brought to her. She will be dearly missed by all the lives she has touched. A sincere thank you to Adrianna, her home care nurse, and the entire team with the Hospice of Windsor. Your care and compassion for Georgina will forever be cherished. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Georgina's life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 143, 1570 Marentette Ave., Windsor, ON on Thursday, December 05, 2019 staring at 2 p.m. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Georgina to the Hospice of Windsor or to the SickKids Foundation.Arrangements entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE (Dougall) 519-254-2585.
