I have memories of Victor from as far back as 1986 when I first started attending UGT Church downtown. I remember Victor greeting everyone he met with a smile...and a candy, and never turning down an opportunity to shake your hand! He had a gentle spirit and heart, and always seemed willing to help a friend in need. He was a faithful member of University Gospel Temple/Parkwood Gospel Church for years, and came early every Sunday morning to unlock the doors and take his spot to greet folks as they entered the building. We'll miss that bellowing greeting and heavy handshake, but we'll see you again soon my friend! Rev. Shawn McKnight
