Obituary of Carolyn Marie Desjardins

Age 62, began her peaceful heavenly journey on Wednesday, October 16th, 2019. Born April 14th, 1957 as a dear daughter of the late Betty Lou MacFarlane and Herbert L. MacFarlane. Predeceased by her dear partner, Larry Morre. Carol is survived by and will be missed by her loving sons, Micheal and Karl (Karen) and her daughter-in-law Tina. Loving and proud grandmother of Kyle, Quenton, Karson, Tiana and Justin. Also survived and lovingly missed by her siblings; Dave (Amy), Janet (Steve), Bert (Lori) and Kenny (Colleen). Carol had several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews that she adored. Carol had many longtime close friendships and relationships over the years with many people who gave her tremendous support, time, and unconditional love. She was so grateful and appreciated you all. Carol was a longtime employee, providing dedicated service to Quality Safety Systems (QSS) for 20 years. Carol spent a lot of time at the Hotel-Dieu Renal Dialysis Unit. Over the years she had many nurses, doctors, drivers and home care workers who all became additional family and support for Carol. After nearly 30 years, Carol was the longest standing dialysis patient. She gave other dialysis patients hope and motivation. Carol was also a recipient of multiple kidney transplants which would not had been possible without the generosity of the families of donors and the Kidney Foundation. In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to The Kidney Foundation in memory and tribute of Carolyn Desjardins. Cremation has taken place. A private family gathering will take place at a later date to honor our dear Carol. A Celebration of Life and Internment will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens on April 14th 2020.
