Obituary of Thomas Ronald "Ron" Jones

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear husband and father, Ron on September 24, 2019 surrounded by his loving family and friends after a short 6 week battle with Leukemia. Loving husband and best friend of Lynda for 51 years. Amazing Dad of Michelle (known to him as Mike) and her husband Dan Rousseau, Terry and his wife Lisa (nee Meloche) and Jeff. Loved Papa of Kyle, Mackie, Dylan and Kasey. Dear brother-in-law of Maurice (Sharon) and Geoff (MJ). Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Marie. Ron was loved by many friends and he was well known in the old car circle for his collection of 57 Chev's throughout the years. Ron was the proud owner of Ambassador Movers for over 50 years. Ron was also a volunteer firefighter for the Anderdon fire Department for 12 years. He was an honorary member of the River Canard Knights of Columbus and the Shakers Car Club. As per Ron's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Ron's life will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at the Fort Fun Centre, 689 Texas Rd., Amherstburg, ON from 12 noon - 5 p.m. The family would love for you to bring your favorite car to show off that day! In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Transition to Betterness (T2B). Arrangements entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE CREMATION CENTRE (519-254-2585).
