I'm sorry to have missed the celebration of Chris's life at the Vic. I was behind on reading my newspapers and saw the obituary after the gathering had already occurred. Chris was a good friend to me for many years. I remember several get-togethers at his house on Lake St. Clair. I didn't see as much of him once he moved to Lake Erie, but we did keep in touch. One fabulous concert we went to stands out in my mind -- it was B.B.King, Johnny Taylor and Bobby 'Blue'Bland at the Fox Theatre in Detroit. It was a perfect night. Chris was far ahead of his time with his coffee business all those years ago. I still remember his shop in the Norwich Block on Riverside Drive. Chris was very kind to my young son, and I think he'd enjoy knowing that my son now works for Windsor Fire and Rescue. To all who loved him, I send my deepest condolences. I was so sad to see his obituary. The world is a little less wonderful without him.
