Obituary of William Thornton

Passed away peacefully on August 3, 2019 in Windsor. Billy was born October 25, 1945 in Bellshill, Scotland. He was married to the love of his life Julia until her death in 1992. He is survived by his daughters Mairi Janisse (Dan Janisse), Sharon DeWitte (Yvon Lapointe), and grandchildren Hunter, Keifer, Zoe and Ashlee, brother James Thornton and sister Myra Mawhinney. He was a skilled tool and die maker until his retirement in 2005. Bill spent many years involved with the Parthenon Lodge in Chatham, ON. where he served as Worshipful Master of the organization. A private remembrance ceremony will be held for his immediate family. Arrangements entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE CREMATION CENTRE (219-254-2585).
