Obituary of Jo-Anne Johnson

Beloved mother of Ian Bawden and wife Jennifer. Grandmother of Allison and Stewart Robson and Stuart and Samantha Bawden. Gigi to Lily Bawden and Willie Robson. Jo-Anne was a very strong and determined woman in labour (1st Female President of CAW Local 1498), politics (Vice-President of Ontario NDP) and women's issues (Woman of the Year) over her long and compassionate career. Her pain from dementia has ended but her legacy will carry on. Thanks to all talented and caring staff members who assisted her over the past from Amica, to Oak Park LaSalle, Extendicare Southwood Lakes and the 5th floor of WRH-Metropolitan Campus. Cremation has taken per Jo-Anne’s request. Any donations in her memory can be made to the Downtown Mission or the Windsor-Essex County Humane Society as she loved all humans and animals equally.
