Obituary of Joseph Peter Atkins

Born in Malta in 1943 and passed peacefully in his sleep on May 14, 2019 at WRH – Met Campus after a short but fierce battle with Leukemia and Lung Cancer. Joe retired from Ford after 30 years of service. He leaves behind many friends in Windsor whom he regularly socialized with at the Bruce St. and University Ave. Time Hortons, keeping busy as a Recycle Technician. Son of William and Conehetta (Favrugia) Atkins. Father of the Joey Atkins (Joey the Ink Singer) April 5, 1967 – November 2, 2018. Grandfather of Crystal and Jacklyn Atkins and great grandfather of Nathan. Joe leaves behind his brothers Charles Atkins of Trenton, MI and Anthony Atkins in Malta. He will be dearly missed by his sisters Mary Tabone and Evelyn Frendo in Malta as well as many nieces and nephews in Canada, USA and Malta. Predeceased by brothers William Atkins and George Atkins of Oshawa, ON and Sister Enus Atkins of Malta along with his niece Angie and nephew Louis Tabone.
