Obituary of Diane M. Vezina

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Diane Vezina (nee Smith) on April 28, 2019 with her family by her side. Loving and caring wife of Richard and cherished, loving mother of Richard and his wife Judy. Diane was a proud and loving Meme of Rachel (Jason) Reinkober and Ricky (Emily) Vezina. Diane’s great grandchildren Kailey and Jacob Reinkober were her pride and joy whom she dearly loved and adored. Predeceased by her parents Joseph Smith, Dorothy (Jerry) Levack and her in laws Lucien Vezina, Sylvie Vezina and Willsie Hatfield. Dearest and loved sister of Carol (Jim) Lucier, Debbie (Mike) O’Connor, Irene (Murray) Valley and sister –in-law of Viviene (Gary) Vezina Pearson and Tony Pearson. Loving Aunt of Jim (Vienna) Lucier, Goddaughter Stacey (Jim) de Brouwer, Joe (Tina) O’Connor, Don Valley and goddaughter Cher (Derrick) Wickham and Candice Pearson as well as many great and great-great nieces and nephews, whom she loved seeing whenever she could. Diane will be missed by her many family, friends and neighbours, especially her shopping partner and dearest friends Linda and Brian Ladouceur. Diane loved yard sales and crafts; she knitted and crocheted many beautiful gifts for family and friends. Diane’s delicious apple, cherry and meat pies and pierogis will truly be missed by family and friends. Diane is fishing in Heaven with her dear friend Janice Labadie, deceased wife of best friend Tom Labadie(Beatrice) and family. As Diane wished, cremation has been entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE CREMATION CENTRE (519-254-2585) and a celebration of her life will be held when “ The grass is green and the flowers are blooming” as Diane wanted this summer. Thank you to Dr. Guerra and the many nurses in ICU at Leamington Hospital who took great care of her and Dr. Li Wan Po for his many years of great care. We are truly grateful!
