Obituary of Jane Borg (nee Zywina)

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Jane Mary Borg (nee Zywina) on February 1, 2019, less than one-month shy of her 75th birthday. Jane was a generous and caring soul who touched the lives of many people. She will be deeply missed by her children Jennifer (Stephen) Certossi and Jeffrey (Laura) Jurakosky. Proud and supportive grandmother to Katrina, Jason, Jonah, Dylan and Adam. Loving sister of Deborah (Kevin) Rodda and aunt to Lindsey. Jane is predeceased by her parents Florence and Michael Zywina. Her life was fulfilled by love for her family, her friends and God. Jane was with Canada Customs and Border Patrol for 21 years, working her way up from Secretary to Border Guard. Jane was a very social person who enjoyed playing cards, singing, dancing and a good beer. She was infamous for her off colored storytelling and jokes. At Jane's request cremation has taken place. Everyone is welcome to participate in a celebration of Jane’s life which will take place on Saturday, February 9th, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm (prayer service to start at 4:00 pm) and from 7 pm to 9 pm at Tecumseh United Church 333 Lacasse Blvd, Windsor, Ontario. If so desired, please support a charity or cause that is important to you in memory of Jane. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Extendicare Tecumseh for their care and friendship during Jane’s time there.
