Obituary of Ronald Ewing

Died peacefully on January 23, 2019. Predeceased by his first wife Betty (1987) and survived by his wife of 29 years Eileen (nee Carter). Cherished father of Jim (Pam), Ron (Karen), Maureen and Sandra St. Jean. Loving stepfather of Linda Parks (Bruce), Dawn Bell (Ted), David Carter (Geraldine) and Karen Fathers (Jeff). He is survived by his brother David Ewing (Sue). Beloved Papa/Grandpa/Great Grandpa of 22 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Much loved Geeg to Avery and Alexandria. Ron retired from Bell Canada and went on to receive his degree in Engineering from St. Clair College. He made the Dean’s list and was employed by the college for a short time. Ron is a proud World War II Veteran belonging to the 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess Louise’s) of Sussex, New Brunswick. He was an active member of the Riverside Legion Branch #255. A celebration of Ron’s life was held at St. John Vianney on February 1, 2019 at 10:30 am. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Oak Park, SEHC, Hospice and VON for their exceptional care. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Iris House would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE CREMATION CENTRE (519-254-2585).
