Obituary of Anthony Brechkow

It is with deep regret that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Tony with his family at his side. Tony was a long-time of partner Donna Tuck, loving father of Nadine Francis (Tony), proud grandfather of Nada Francis and Reena Francis and an esteemed mentor to Michael Ducharme and Stephen Ducharme. Tony will be missed by his sister June Egan and many nieces and nephews. Tony is predeceased by father Edward (73) sister Anne (95) and mother Polly (98). Tony had many accomplishments both academically and entrepreneurially. Tony was a graduate of the Ford Trade school and a graduate of Wayne State University with a Bachelor in Engineering and a MBA and went on to teach at St Clair College for 32 years and retired in 2000. Tony was involved in many ventures from pita bread and pita chip manufacturing, apartment building management, glass company management, and ecommerce sauna sales. Tony was also an avid golfer at Beach Grove. Of all of Tony’s ventures and hobbies, Tony’s greatest pleasure was time with his family and his friends. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses for the great care Tony received from the Hospice of Windsor and the medical staff on fourth floor at Metropolitan Tecumseh Campus Hospital. Cremation has been entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE CREMATION CENTRE (519-254-2585). A memorial visitation will be on Wednesday January 30, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Beach Grove Golf and Country Club followed by a presentation at 11:30 AM and then a gathering of friends and family at 12:00 PM.
