Obituary of David Brien Philp

Passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the age of 52 after a long struggle with cancer. Born in Windsor, ON to the late Bruce and Sarah (nee Barnard) Philp. Loving husband of Donna (nee Bachewsky) and father of his two beautiful daughters Michelle and Melanie. Dave is survived by his brothers; George (Jane), Gord (Linda), Jim (Rose) and his sister, Sue (Mike). Also survived by his sister-in-law Joanne (John) and many nieces and nephews. Dave loved camp fires and spending time outdoors and he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Dave also loved summer BBQ's with family and friends. Many thanks to Dr. Aoun and the wonderful staff of compassionate, caring nurses at H.D.G.H. - Dr. Y. Emara Centre. Also, special thanks to the T2B volunteers with their comfort cart and staples. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Dave's life will take place on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 594, 5030 Howard Ave., Windsor, ON from 3 p.m. -7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made to Transition to Betterness (T2B).
