Ray took a chance on me and hired me on in a time I needed work the most. Despite the differences he and I had in the end, I will forever be grateful to him for all that he's done for me. Rest in Peace, Ray.

Hello - Ray was my high school football coach at Vincent Massey in the 60's. We were city champs three years in a row. Among many lessons and great coaching Ray gave me was some advice I have never forgotten. He said "Murphy, when you feel them (the opposing team) coming at you, you've got to fight the pressure". I have used that advice many times in my life. Thanks, Ray

I first met Mr. Ryan at Centennial in 1969. New school, new teachers , an exciting time. Mr. Ryan was always helpful as we adjusted to new schedules and new classes. As years passed we were lucky enough to find him at Pleasance trophies on Wyandotte. My son was playing wheelchair hockey and needed trophies for the end of year banquet. Mr Ryan always new what we needed and what would make these young men feel special. Everyone loved their trophy made special "just for them" he would say. Every year we would go back for more. We always appreciated him, Brenda and John for their special attention. We will all miss Mr. Ryan very much. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to his family. Brian Hill.

It was sad to read of Ray"s passing. We taught together at Centennial Secondary School from 1968 until 1984. I was the Head of the Science Department. After moving back to Windsor in 2010 after 26 years in the London area, Ray and I met a couple of times at Pleasance Jewellery store and shared memories of that earlier time. He was always a gentle man. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family at this difficult and sad time. Rest in peace, Ray. Jim McTavish .
