Our Mom was born in Rabat, Malta and immigrated to Windsor via Ellis Island NYC when she was 5. She grew up at 438 Bridge St Windsor, married in 1967 and lived in and around Detroit, Michigan. In 1971 she moved to Amherstburg. Our mother was the ultimate wife and homemaker in the traditional sense. We wanted for nothing! In lean times she’d often take menial jobs to insure a Christmas tree full of presents. We always had the best clothes on our backs. She Provided important emotional support during Those tough times growing up. Mom owned and operated two women’s fashion stores during the late 70’s and early 80’s. The “Fashion Stop” and “Jeans Plus” on Sandwich St in Amherstburg. They say that behind every successful Man there is a great woman. That is true. Our late father Thomas would not disagree. Thank you mother for your sacrifice. I pray that you have your everlasting reward. With Love....
