Obituary of Dora Elizabeth Tourangeau

(nee Allen; Mountford) Surrounded by her loving family, Dora passed away peacefully on Sunday December 9th, 2018, in her 105th year, at The Village of Aspen Lake. Dora was the eldest child of Alex and Ada Belle Allen of Maidstone, ON. She was preceded in death by her two loving husbands, George Mountford (1947) and Roy Tourangeau (2007); her two sisters, Daisy Thomas (2009) and Norene Marchand (2010); and her only brother, Deane (1945). She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Amyot West (Mountford) and Eric; Linda Fraser (Mountford) (Robert 2017); Margo Bezaire and Moe. She was predeceased by her only son, Dick (1979). Also surviving are her grandchildren: Danielle Laing (Larry), John Amyot (Kelly), Nicole MacKinnon (Jeff), David Amyot (Tamara), Chris Drouillard, Donna Ruggaber (Gord), Suzanne Fetter (Wayne), Cody Bezaire; 16 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Many cousins, nieces and nephews also survive her. Dora was the former proprietress of Holiday House Resort in Port Elgin, ON. She was a longtime CWL member, an avid bridge player and bowled, curled, golfed and swam in her younger years. The family sincerely thank the very devoted and professional staff on the Walkerville Floor of The Village of Aspen Lake who took such loving care of their mother. In accordance with Dora’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial visiting from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral mass at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 12th, 2018 at St. John Vianney Church, 385 Dieppe Street, Windsor.
