Obituary of Joseph "Kenny" Dowler

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 29th, 2018 at 80 years of age. He was loved by his wife Audrey for 56 years. He will be missed by his children, Dianne Titizian (Haygaz), Ken Dowler (Laura), Kevin Dowler, Donna Dowler (Dennis) and Bob Dowler (Amanda). He will be forever cherished by his thirteen grandchildren; Zaven, Ara, Jenna, Danielle, Alexis, Alicia, Jason, Meagan, Owen, Isabelle, Jennifer, Brayden, and Audrey. He is survived by his siblings, John, Russ, Carl, Murray, Clare, Gerry, Harold, Danny and Ann Murray. Predeceased by his sister Betty Rickett and his brothers George, Larry, Lenny and his parents George and Emma (nee Spears) Dowler. He will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and brother/sister in-laws. Ken was born and raised in Harriston, Ontario where he was well-known for his hockey skills. He proudly drove truck for 40 years. He loved to tell stories, jokes and listen to music. He was fun-loving with a very kind heart and enjoyed a cold beer while watching his beloved Maple Leafs and Blue Jays. Most of all, he was a devoted family man, who cared deeply for his family. In keeping with Ken’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at 2:00 on November 16th at the Harriston Legion located at 53 Elora St. S, Harriston, Ontario. Special thanks to the care workers of Franklin Gardens in Leamington, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
