Obituary of Mark Anthony Chenier

The struggle to find his way in this world became too hard to bear, and so Mark chose to end his pain. His heartbroken family is struggling to understand his choice. Loving father to Lee Chenier (mother: Sylvia Baldwin), and survived by his siblings, Pauline (Dan) Anderson, Anne Marie Chenier, Larry (Christine) Chenier, Denise Chenier, Dave (Helen) Chenier, numerous nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends, Jim and Karen McCreary. Mark was predeceased by his parents, Theresa Chenier and Paul Chenier, and brother Gerard Chenier. Mark loved being a father to Lee, loved music (particularly Rush), was an excellent wood worker, enjoyed discussing politics, and was a faithful caretaker to his mother, Theresa until her passing in November 2017. Mark also has left behind his beloved cat, Dexter. Cremation has already taken place. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Mark's Life on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at University Community Church, 2320 Wyandotte St. W. at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Community Crisis Centre, Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare in Mark’s memory.
