Obituary of Janet Susan Turnbull (nee McClain)

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Janet Susan Turnbull on August 4, 2018 in Windsor, Ontario. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side before entering Heaven"s gate. Jan was born on May 13, 1950 in Sarasota, Florida. A keen talent for crafts and interior design, Jan"s hands were never still. Her home was meticulous, her garden to be envied. Loving daughter, mother and Jama (grandmother). Reunited with her late daughter, Natasha Lyn McCollum and father, William Fred McCLain. Jan is survived by her mother, Mildred McClain, daughter Somer (nee Turnbull) Mullins (Ryan) and two grandchildren, Kensington and Nash. Jan is also survived by, Al DiCarlo, her partner and best friend for over 25 years, Al"s children; Dana Stevens (Randy) Lisa Crowder (Harry) and David DiCarlo (Stephanie) and their families, as well as her sister Jill McClain of Ohio and her brother Jeff McClain (Tina) of Florida, and her many nephews and nieces. To celebrate Jan"s life, a private family ceremony will be held in Jan"s beloved garden. We will always remember the sparkle in Jan"s eye, her courageous strength and her unwavering love of Our Lord. Jan will hold our hearts forever. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of Windsor- Essex County would be greatly appreciated.
