Obituary of Alma Dillon
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Alma Dillon on Tuesday, April 24th 2018 at 93 years of age. Alma"s journey begins in England where she met James Cook who was in the Canadian Armed Forces. She came to Canada as a war bride in 1946 where she established her family. Loving mother of Miriam (late Donald) Rogers, late Susanne (late Lewis) Routbard, Anne (Alan) Roberts and James Campbell (Greer) Cook. Beloved grandmother of Chad, James, Laurie, Justin, Terry, Maeryn and Rhyse. Proud great grandmother of 7 great grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Eunice and the late Barbara. Friend of Tom Williams. Alma will be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends in Canada, U.K. and U.S.A. She was known by many for her years at Collacutt Leather Goods as a loyal employee. Alma was a talented seamstress and enjoyed keeping her hands busy knitting and sewing and her mind sharp with crossword puzzles. The family would like to extend a special thank you for all of the doctors, nurses and volunteers at Chartwell Royal Oak Nursing Home - Kingsville for their compassionate care of Alma. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Simple Choice Cremation Centre Inc. (519-254-2585) A celebration of her life will take place at a later date in June 2018 with her close friends and family. In memory of Alma, donations may be made to your local Salvation Army Church.
