Obituary of Jospeh Omer Couture

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Joseph at Berkshire Care Centre on March 19, 2018 and the age of 88. Born in Bathurst, NB on July 20, 1929, a son of the late Abb" and Alexine (nee Hache) Couture. Omer is survived by his wife, Rose Couture (nee Ingraham); one son, Richard (Barb); three daughters: Elaine Zaborek (Franz), Laurie Meunier (Bob) and Michelle Berry; seven grandchildren: Christopher, Jason, Jessica, Ezekiel, Norman, Leigh and Jason and eleven great grandchildren. Also survived by his four sisters: Geraldine Poisson of Windsor, Emilia Dorion (Randolph) of Bathurst, NB, Angelina Bartinshi of Sprague, MB and Lydia Brown of Steinbeck, MB. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his eldest son, Michael; five brothers: Martial, Bernard, Wilfred, Philippe and Thomas and five sisters: Rose, Lillian, Evelyn, Florence and Albina. Omer was retired after 30 years with Chrysler. At Omer's request, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A celebration of Omer's life will be held at the Ojibway Nature Centre - Prairie Room, 5200 Matchette Road, Windsor, on Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. For anyone wishing to send a token of sympathy, please donate to the Human Society of Windsor-Essex County which was near and dear to Omer's heart, or to which ever charity my be dear to you.
