Obituary of Brenda Merlo

Our precious, sweet Mother and Mimi passed into the arms of Jesus surrounded by her family in the early morning of Friday, January 12, 2018 at the beautiful age of 92. Brenda's greatest passion in life was her family, a loving wife and mother of 6, Mimi to 11 amazing grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Her kind hearted loving spirit touched so many lives. Loving wife of the late Don Merlo (1985). Dear daughter of the late William and Mabel Potts and sister of Rita Halpin and the late Raymond Potts. Cherished mother to Karen Merlo, Philip (Telva) Merlo, Linda (James) Mitchell, Barbara (Tom) Mitchell, Greg (Elaine) Merlo, Raymond (Marilyn) Merlo. Inspirational Mimi to Daniel (Laura) Merlo, Justine (Ryan) Varney, Donald (Stephanie) Merlo, David (Jacqueline) Mitchell, Chris Mitchell, Christie (Terence) Costigan, Lisa (Jamie) Whan, Michael (Nicole) Mitchell, Jessica French (Alan) , William (Christina) French, Jamie French. Blessed Mimi to great grandchildren Cody, Coltin, Rylee, Ryder, Ava, Makayla, Cloey, Brooklynn, Hailey, Sophie, Ava and Averie. She will be greatly missed by her amazing fur friends Lola, Cam and Chevy. A special thank you to Joan, Mandy, Hanan, the Alzheimer Society of Windsor Essex County, Paramed and the nursing staff at St.Elizabeths who assisted in Mim's journey. The compassionate loving care and support was above and beyond. Visitation will be held at Parkwood Gospel Temple, 3005 Temple Dr, Windsor, On Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 11am until time of Funeral Service to celebrate Brenda"s life at 12 p.m. If you so desire, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Windsor Essex County.
