Obituary of Jason Robert Cooper

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Jay at the young age of 44 as a result of complications from abdominal surgery. Peacefully surrounded by his family Tuesday morning, November 7th, 2017 at Windsor Regional Hospital " Ouellette Campus. Beloved husband of Christine (nee Maluske) and proud father to Aimee and Amber Lucier-Cooper and also Stephen and Shane Hennin (ss). Beloved son of Carla Cooper and (husband Steve Hanwell) and Hans Berthelsen. Son-in-law to Steve and Karen Maluske. Cherished grandson to Jeanne Cooper and the late Jack Cooper. Loving brother to Mandy Janisse (Rich " best friend) and Hans Berthelsen Jr. (Dawn). Special nephew to Carrie and Steve, Cathy and Mark, Julia and Doug and John and Linda. Terribly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jay was a kind and gentle soul. He was a loving husband, father and son and could always be relied on to help anyone in need. Jason could do just about anything, he was an amazing cook, he could change his car engine and build his own home. His contagious smile, hilarious sense of humour and infectious laugh will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Jay"s life will be held at Windermere Manor, 200 Collip Circle, London, Ontario on Thursday, November 16th @ 6:00pm. Family and friends are welcome! Jay didn"t want a funeral service, just a party in his garage in Windsor"at a later date. Donations may be made in memory of Jay to his favorite charity, Windsor-Essex (W.E) Care for Kids Foundation.
