Obituary of Robert Hughes

Much loved husband to Shirley and devoted father to both Dustin and Krissy Hughes. Bob was a stoic example to all of us for his strength and determination battling his 17 year illness. He fought so hard-he was one of a kind. To those who took the time and effort to come by and sit and have a coffee and conversation, it meant the world to him. You know who you are and I thank you. A very thank you to Joann Cedar, his wonderful, compassionate and professional nurse who was with him from the start till the end. Bob really loved your conversations and time spent. No words can express how grateful we both were to you. Bob lived his life quietly and as independently as he could. He loved his family, cats, fishing (his bass boat) and of course his love of music, in particular the blues. He leaves behind those close to him to grieve. He leaves behind an extended family of brothers and sister in laws. Cremation as per his wishes-no service. Arrangements entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE CREMATION CENTRE (519-254-2585).
