Obituary of Irene F. Fraser

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother on July 9th, 2017 at 79 years of age. Beloved wife of Robert (Bob). Cherished mother of Sharon, David (Laurie), Donna (Jeff Morency), and Anita (Kirk Whittal). Devoted grandmother to Paige, Christopher, Rebecca, Tess, and Adele. Loving daughter of the late Charles and Leona Gavin of Lansdowne. Dear sister of Edith, Basil, Joseph B., Veronica (Greg Holly), and Nora (Basil Holly); predeceased by brother Leon and infant brother Joseph L. Survived by brother-in-law Jim Fraser and sisters-in-law Irene and Sally. Irene will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Along with her husband Bob, Irene owned and operated Aristocraft Equestrian Centre. She was a strong woman of faith who battled Pulmonary Fibrosis with grace and determination. The family would like to thank ProResp, especially Tom and Meaghan, the CCAC, and the VON, especially John Van Velzen, Stephanie Phillips, Stephanie Duval, and Felicia for showing compassion. Thank you to Dr. John R. Coates and Dr. Richard Tan for your care over the years. At Irene"s request cremation has taken place. On July 19th, Irene"s family and friends are invited to join together at the Church of St. Patrick, (RR 4 985 Kidd Road N, Lansdowne, ON) for Visitation at 10:00am, followed by Mass at 11:30am. If you so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
