Obituary of Victor Vogler
It is with heavy hearts that we raise a glass to toast Victor who left us too soon on June 23, 2017, with family by his side, after a lengthy battle with Multiple Myeloma. Vic leaves behind Karen (nee Quick), his devoted wife of 47 years. Loved and respected by his five children, Erika Gereghty (Rob), Larissa Vogler Dunn (Robin), Keith (Rhonda), Kyle and Arianna. Treasured "Grumpa" of Avery and Carson Gereghty, Kaylea, Morgan and Colin Vogler. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Mildred and brothers James (Cathy) and Richard, and survived by his siblings Edward (Jean), Marj Fontaine (Brian), John (Angie), Sue Fleming (Don) and Evelyn Bondy (Roy) and in-laws Wayne and Donna Quick and Ivan and Sharon Soroka. Vic will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family, friends and clients. Vic"s contributions to his local community are considerable and include years of involvement in local politics in both Tilbury North Township and the Town of Lakeshore. Vic was a founding member and the Charter President of the Lighthouse Cove and District Lions Club where he will be sorely missed by his fellow club members and friends. Vic will always be remembered for his honesty and integrity, and no-nonsense attitude. Those who knew him will never forget his vast knowledge of (and passion for) politics and history, his entertaining stories, and his raucous and unabashed sense of humor. As per Victor"s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lighthouse Lions" "Vic Vogler Pavilion" in Lighthouse cove on July 22nd, 2017. Please join us for this memorial party from 3:00pm onwards. We"ll provide the food and drinks, you bring the stories and laughter. In honour of Vic, donations may be made to the Lighthouse Cove and District Lions" park fund. Cremation arrangements entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE CREMATION CENTRE (519-254-2585). Online condolences and cherished memories can be shared with the family at simplechoicecremation.ca.
