Obituary of Sheila Douglas

Born on October 16, 1933 in Victoria Harbour, ON. Passed away peacefully on May 28, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of David Douglas for 62 wonderful years. Loving mother of Kathy (Allan), Nancy (Marc) and Ruth. Cherished Grandmother of Emily, Kate, Jane, Thomas, Malcolm, Sara, Meghan, Rachel and Audrey. In Sheila"s high school years she was an outstanding basketball and track and field athlete. In her adult years, Sheila remained involved in sport, enjoying tennis and volleyball. Through her later years, Sheila, Dave and their many friends were enthusiastic fans of many sports, including American College Basketball, particularly the March Madness Tournament. One of Sheila"s other life-long passions was travel, especially with her girls. She and Dave enjoyed the trip of a lifetime when they travelled cross-country through Canada and the U.S. Sheila was a wonderful and caring wife, mother and grandmother whom will be missed terribly. Should you choose to, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Windsor-Essex County. At Sheila"s request, cremation and a private memorial celebration has taken place.
