Obituary of Patricia Margaret Brown

Transitioned from temporary to permanent on May 5th from the Ouellette Campus where she has been since a stroke attacked her body on November 25th. She leaves behind her adoring husband of more than 50 years, James. Pat was a graduate of Grace Hospital nursing " class of 1960. She obtained her Public Health from Western and began working for the VON in Windsor. She was instrumental in assisting with the development of the Home Care Program through the VON. She is pre-deceased by her parents, Margaret Ashworth and Lorne T. Pierce and her step-mother Ada. Beloved siblings: Jack Pierce (Marilyn); Lorna Neumann (Elmer); deceased brother-in-law, Jim Chalmers; Lorne Pierce (Barbara); sister-in-law, Barbara and step-sister, Wanda. Pat was responsible for birthing five blessings into our lives: Alana (Jason); Andrea (Kenneth); Angela (Todd); Alicia (Paul) and Jared (expectant wife Sarah and soon arriving Elanor). Her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Ashley, Jason (Katlyn), Alyssa, Natasha, Greta; Destiny, Trinity, and Josie. There are also many nieces and nephews who are all important to her. Pat has been a faithful, contributing member of Parkwood Gospel Temple, and its history, for 60 years. Many close friends and valuable relationships have resulted from that membership. Her great passion was reading and studying scripture to gain a better understanding of God and His Kingdom. We would like to express our deep gratitude to Kelly Markham, Manager of 2 North and her entire professional team for their outstanding, compassionate dedication throughout this very challenging time. Visitation with the family will be on Friday, May 12 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Parkwood Gospel Temple (main entrance) and Saturday, May 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Followed by a Memorial Service in the sanctuary at 12:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Simple Choice Cremation Centre.
