Obituary of Irene D. Briggs

Passed away on March 18, 2017 at Erie Shores Hospice, Leamington. Beloved wife of the late Carl Briggs (2007) for 57 years. Survived by her chosen son Robert Young, his wife Cathy and their children Angela and Melody. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Zella Mae Thomas (1976) and Milton Roy Thomas (1983), sisters; Ida Mae Thomas (1935), Vera Baker (1993), Ethel Vogt (1994) and Pearl Hackman (2011) and brothers; Milton Thomas (1995) and Fred Thomas (2003). Irene and her husband Carl were partners in Sun Parlour Trailers from 1972 " 1994. At Irene"s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service. Friends and family will be invited to join together for a graveside service at Barrie Union Cemetery, Barrie, ON at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Irene to the Canadian Cancer Society, Erie Shores Hospice, Leamington or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
