Obituary of Alden Clifford Clark

Alden passed away on February 27, 2017, nineteen days short of his 94th birthday. He is survived by his wife Irene, his sister, Janith Sherman, his children; Roger (Anny), Diana Snider (Larry) and Richard (Georganna), his 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his first wife Mary (nee Cady), his brother Carl and daughter Marcia Taggart. Alden was born on the family farm on Cedar Beach Road, on March 18, 1923, eldest child of Allen and Fern Clark. He was a hard worker and did not shy away from responsibility. He worked as a farmer, a painter and later as a care-take for the Essex County Public School system. In his last career, he served in a supervisory capacity until his retirement. He also served his community as a school board member for a number of years and was active in the Baptist Church for most of his adult life. Alden is also remembered by those who worked and served with him over the years. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at Southpoint Community Church, 475 Bevel Line Rd. on March 18, 2017 at 1 p.m., Leamington for both Alden and his late daughter Marcia. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice of Erie Shores, Leamington, to the Southpoint Community Church or to a charity of your choice in memory of Alden.
