Obituary of Shirley Anne James

Shirley Anne Marie completed this earthly round and has moved on to be with her dear sister, Jean who left behind her precious family so many years ago. Shirley will be dearly missed by her husband, best friend and life companion, Brian, her sister, Mary Anne (Claude) and her brothers; Mike (Jen) and Art. The loving prayers and memories of the Haddad family in Denver will help guide her through her new life. Shirley will long be remembered by friends for her annual Christmas and summer garden parties. Her integrity, forthrightness and thoughtfulness were an inspiration to those who knew her. Her sense of justice and fairness as well as her unpretentious nature were also much admired. Her loving presence will be felt whenever time is spent in the Secret Garden created by her and Brian. Cremation has taken place. A memorial celebration will take place in the spring, when the birds are singing and the flowers are in bloom - Shirley's favorite time of the year. Brian would like the extend a special thank-you to all of the care givers at Hospice of Windsor-Essex County, CCAC and the VON, especially Miles and Claire for their devotion and care during Shirley's finals days.
