Obituary of Agnes Doreen Hudson

Late of Windsor (formerly of Toronto and Collingwood), Agnes died peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Huron Lodge. Agnes was born on August 27, 1928 in Toronto as the third child of Percy and Irene Wiseman. She grew up in Toronto and was lovingly regarded by her sister Alice (McKay) and brothers Cy and Wilf Wiseman. She spent much of her childhood playing sports of all kinds and was a devout baseball fan to the end. After falling in love on a ski trip to Collingwood, Agnes joyfully married Bill Hudson on February 10, 1951. During retirement years, Agnes and Bill settled in Collingwood where they continued to enjoy a full life together until Bill"s passing in 1999. Agnes moved into residential care in Windsor in 2011. Agnes was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her two children, Debra and Shane; their spouses, Don and Mary-Ann; and grandchildren, Brent and Zachary. She will also be sadly missed by her furry four-legged companion Casey. The family is particularly grateful to the staff of Huron Lodge for their friendship and their dedicated care. Special thanks to the staff of Hickory 3-2 for always doing their best to meet Agnes"s needs. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer"s Society in Agnes"s memory would be gratefully accepted. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in Collingwood mid-summer 2017 to celebrate Agnes"s life with family and friends.
