Obituary of Richard Robert Beneteau

BENETEAU, Richard Robert Passed away quietly in his sleep at 77 years old after a difficult battle with cancer. Loving husband of 51 years to Helen (nee Travis). Devoted father to Rick and wife Shannon and Rob and wife Maryann. Cherished Papa of Travis, Adrian, Ethan, Cole, Katie, and Will. Predeceased by his parents Stella (Parent) and Hormidas. Dear brother of the late Leo (2011), Evelyn Paraskevin (the late Bill), Lorraine Gelinas, and Leonard and wife Rory. Loving brother-in-law of Sandra Vidamour (Bob) and Joyce Morency (Ken). He will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, and friends. Richard retired after 30 years from Canadian Tire Corp. as a class "A" Automobile Mechanic. He was a founding member of The Windsor Banjos since 1981, the Riverside Strummers, and Benny's Brew Crew; loving to entertain and entertaining with love. Thanks to all the nurses at WRH Ouellette Avenue Campus, and at MET Campus. Special thank you to the entire staff at WRH Hotel Dieu Grace Health Care at Malden Park. In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate donations to be made to the Hospice of Windsor or Transition 2 Betterness. Cremation arrangements entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE CREMATION CENTRE (519-254-2585). Memorial visitation at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (4401 Mount Royal Drive) on Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 12 p.m. until time of memorial mass at 1 p.m..
