Obituary of Gregory John Gooding

GOODING, Gregory John January 3, 1947 " May 16, 2016 It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Greg, after succumbing to complications from leukemia. Greg defied the odds more than once over the last years and amazed all with his fortitude, determination and attitude. Dear husband and best friend of 32 years to Dayle (nee Ferrier). Devoted Dad to Logan and Connor (Laura Schoof). Much loved brother to Shannon (Tom Oper). Predeceased by his parents, Mary and Mike Gooding and sister Gaynor (2000). Greg will be greatly missed by his in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and all the people whose lives he"s touched. Greg was a life-long Windsor resident, a graduate of W.F. Herman Secondary School and retired after 36 years with Canada Post. Heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Sharon Doyle, who was with the family through every step of this journey, Dr. C. Hamm and the many doctors, nurses and healthcare providers who were involved in Greg"s care over the years. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated; however all the family asks is that you follow Greg"s example of how to live and perform an act of kindness for someone. As he always told his boys "Do Good" and "Thanks for the laughs". At Greg"s request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Greg"s life will be held in late June.
