Obituary of Edward A. Bertrand

BERTRAND, Edward "Ted" Passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family on March 12, 2016. Husband and soulmate of Elaine (nee Oakes) for 32 years. Very special Dad to Kari McMahon-Sleiman and son-in-law Louis Sleiman. Such a proud Papa to his girls Erin and Rian McMahon, who were the loves of his life. Brother to Garnet (Dilys), late Judy Tromblay (2011) and Michael (Anna). Brother-in-law to Judith Oakes, Linda (Earl) Marentette, Howard Oakes and Roger Tromblay. Survived and missed by many nieces and nephews, especially Jerry Reaume who was always helping his uncle. Best friend to Tim Grant and Skip Bump. Ted was retired from the Town of Amherstburg. The family wishes to extend a very special thank you their VON "Angels"; Jon, Amanda and Vickie for their continued care and compassion. Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE CREMATION CENTRE (519-254-2585).
