Obituary of Kenneth Dorsey Fournier

FOURNIER, KENNETH DORSEY Ken Fournier departed unexpectedly on February 27, 2016 at 64 years of age. Born on January 4th, 1952 in Massey, Ontario to Angus Fournier and Martha Fournier (nee Owl). Predeceased by his parents. Devoted husband of 43 years to Robin Fournier. Loving father to Robin Resendes, Melissa Fournier-Rudberg (Lawrence), Kenneth Jr. Fournier (Amy), and Jay Fournier (Amedina). Ken"s greatest joy was spoiling his grandkids. Grandfather to Chynna Hamel (Eric), Ashur Resendes, Bailey Rudberg, Liam Rudberg, Tristian Fournier, Alexander Fournier, Trey Fournier, and Sebastian Fournier. Survived by eight brothers and sisters, and many nieces and nephews. Ken retired from General Chemical when the plant closed in 2006. He returned to those same grounds as a security guard for the last several years. Ken spent many years involved in local baseball and at the AMA Arena with his sons as they played hockey. Having lived in Amherstburg his entire adult life, Ken was a familiar face to many. An Open House to celebrate Ken"s life will be held for family and friends, at the Verdi Club at 689 Texas Road, Amherstburg, Ontario, N9V 3R3 on Friday, March 4th, 2016 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. There will be a short native blessing at 4:00 pm. Cremation arrangements entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE CREMATION CENTRE (519-254-2585).
