Obituary of Jean Catherine Bertrand

BERTRAND, Jean Catherine (nee Diskin) 93 years. Born in Chicago, Died on January 6, 2016 at Richmond Terrace Nursing Home, Amherstburg. Predeceased by her beloved husband Norv (2002). Loving mother to Gail, Bob (Susan), Joe and Tom (Deborah). Cherished grandmother to Christopher (Jane), David (Becky), Scott, Carolyn, Danielle (Peter), Marc (Danielle), Annie, Nicole, Aaron, Michael, Jesse and Alyson. Adored great-grandmother of 10. Dear sister-in-law to Terry Bertrand. Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Margaret Diskin, siblings; Joseph, Ray, Viola and twin sister Jane. Her laughter will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jean worked at the Amherstburg Public Library for many years and enjoyed most of her life in Amherstburg fishing and boating on the river. At Jean's request, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral. A warm thank-you to all the staff at Season's Amherstburg for their exceptional care during Jean's 5 years of stay and to the staff at Richmond Terrace for their excellent quality of care.
